SCORE LCA Study – Procurement & LCA
The ELYS Conseil team wrapped up 2025 on a high note with the finalization of the SCORE LCA study “LCA and Sustainable Purchasing”, now available to SCORE LCA members!
This study had three main objectives:
• to provide practical guidelines on how to integrate LCA into the tendering and contract execution process, as well as into the contractual elements defined by the buyer;
• to clarify how far LCA should be applied depending on the type of contract;
• to make recommendations on the type of information expected from bidders / service providers.
To do this, we followed a two-step approach:
• first, a literature review and a series of interviews with a variety of public and private buyers, to build solid, operational proposals;
• then, a practical application of these proposals through four case studies carried out with EDF, a member of SCORE LCA.
